Politics is the way that people living in groups make decisions. Politics is about making agreements between people so that they can live together in groups such as tribes, cities, or countries. In large groups, such as countries, some people may spend a lot of their time making such agreements. These people are called politicians. Politicians, and sometimes other people, may get together to form a government. The study of politics in universities is called political science, political studies, or public administration.

In everyday life, the term "politics" refers to the way that countries are governed, and to the ways that governments make rules and laws. Politics can also be seen in other groups, such as in companies, clubs, schools, and churches.

According to David Easton, "A political system can be designated as the interactions through which values are authoritatively allocated for a society". 

A politician is a person active in party politics, or a person holding or seeking an elected seat in government. Politicians propose, support, and create laws or policies that govern the land and, by extension, its people.

Politics has always been the driving force of the development of any country. Politicians are the ones who decide what type of policies, bills, plans, and budgets will the country follow in due course of time, which will eventually lead to its overall betterment in the future. 

1. Donald Trump :- 

He is the 45th and current president of the United States of America, which is considered as a global superpower in various fields. Aged 74, he is also a real estate tycoon, who has expanded business both domestically and internationally. He has taken strong measures against his enemies around the world, which makes him one of the most powerful political leaders of the world. 

2. Narendra Modi :- 

The current Prime Minister of the World’s Largest Democracy- India, Narendra Modi is a trendy leader even amongst the world leaders. He is also the most followed and liked active politician in the world currently. 

3. Vladimir Putin :- 

Aged 67, he is the current president of Russia serving the post since 2012. In the past, he has been the President of Russia from 1999 to 2008. He also served as a KGB Foreign Intelligence Officer for 16 years. The Russian economy has also developed substantially under his leadership. Russia has even become one of the biggest exporters of weapons in the world.

He is the current president of China. China is one of the biggest economies in the world and also the country with the highest population in the entire world. It is also a hub of manufacturing. 

5. Emanuel Macron :- 

He is the current president of France. Aged 39 in 2017, he became the youngest president of France. He has studied philosophy and holds a master’s degree in public affairs. He has also worked as a senior civil servant at the Inspectorate General of Finances (France) and later became an investment banker at Rothschild & Co. 

6. Angela Merkel :-

She is the current Chancellor of Germany. Aged 65, she is also considered one of the most powerful women in the world. She has worked as a research scientist in the field of quantum chemistry and has also acquired a doctorate in it. In 2007, she was the President of the European Council and played a crucial role in the Berlin Declaration and the negotiation of the Treaty of Lisbon. 

7. Boris Johnson :- 

He is the current PM of the United Kingdom. Aged 56, he is the leader of the conservative party. In the past, he has also served as the mayor of London from 2008 to 2016 and Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018. He has done a commendable job in fighting the COVID pandemic effectively. He is very popular among the people, being a former journalist and author. 

8. Shinzo Abe :- 

He is the current PM of Japan and President of the Liberal Democratic Party. Aged 65, he has studied public administration and has a Bachelor’s degree in political science. He has been honoured with crosses by various countries and has featured in World’s list of most powerful people.  

9. Benjamin Netanyahu

He has been the PM of Israel since 2009. Aged 70, Netanyahu has also served in the Israel defence forces and taken part in various military operations and wars. He has completed Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from MIT. He has also been the Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations from 1984 to 1988. In the past, Netanyahu has introduced many economic reforms being the Finance Minister of Israel which subsequently improved the economy of Israel. 

10. Mohammed bin Salman 

Aged 34 years, he is the crown prince of Saudi Arabia. He is also the country’s deputy PM and Defense Minister. He has a bachelor’s degree in law from King Saud University. He has led several successful reforms, especially for women, like the removal of the ban on female drivers in June 2018, increasing the share of women in the workforce and opening the country to international tourists. His Vision 2030 program aims to diversify the Saudi economy by attracting investments in non-oil sectors, including technology and tourism. The reason for him being prevalent and powerful in the world is that Saudi Arabia is the biggest exporter of oil in the world.
